Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead maintenance activities and drive reliability and safety across plant operations.

You will manage a team of craftsmen, coordinate cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering, and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal policies. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of leadership experience in electrical engineering and maintenance within industrial, commercial, or military environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering, preventative maintenance, project management, reliability practices, and financial management as it relates to capital/expense spending, MRO, CMMS, etc.
• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline in work experience.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Proven ability to lead a team to success.
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of craftsmen to achieve department objectives safely and in an environmentally compliant manner.
• Direct maintenance resources to sustain continuous plant operations.
• Assess performance, productivity, and skills of team members; identify development needs.
• Ensure procurement policies are understood and followed; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Champion Reliability Focused Maintenance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track KPIs and use them as focus drivers to improve results.
• Coordinate with Operations and Engineering to optimize maintenance activities.
• Address predictive maintenance anomalies triggered by the reliability group promptly.
• Prioritize internal customer needs with safety, quality, cost, and productivity in mind.
