Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan Inc. seeks a Senior Maintenance Planning Engineering Specialist to bridge enterprise asset strategies with site execution.

You will design, implement, and govern standardized work orders, task lists, and preventive maintenance across SAP PM/Maximo CMMS environments to ensure asset value and reliability. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, OEMs, and Reliability Engineering to optimize BOMs, material availability, and maintenance readiness across multiple locations, driving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of engineering experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and 5 years of engineering experience
• Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees
• Ability to plan, prioritize, direct and manage multiple operational areas, projects and activities
• Skilled in preparing, defending, monitoring and administering budgets
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Experience building and configuring maintenance plans, task lists, PM orders, and equipment master data in SAP PM or IBM Maximo or similar CMMS/ERP
• Solid understanding of FMEA principles and translating outputs into tasks
• Knowledge of maintenance methodologies including RCM, preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance
• Familiarity with mining maintenance asset classes — mobile and fixed plant
• Strong attention to detail and technical writing ability
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver plans within timelines

Responsibilities

• Convert approved maintenance strategies and FMEA findings into actionable plans within SAP S/4HANA EAM and APM
• Develop and maintain CMMS asset structures and PM programs with proper scheduling and BOM integration
• Implement maintenance plans from central repository into site CMMS with controlled site adjustments
• Review active maintenance plans for alignment with OEM recommendations and learnings
• Act as liaison for site planning teams on job plans and CMMS configuration
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, OEMs and Reliability Engineering to ensure BOM accuracy and updates
• Perform other duties as required
