Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner / SAP CMMS Specialist to optimize maintenance planning and scheduling. The role supports SAP PM/CMMS at client facilities and drives improvements in CMMS utilization and maintenance efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in industrial maintenance, hands-on planning and scheduling experience, and strong SAP CMMS skills. Collaboration with site leadership, operations, and procurement is essential.

Position Overview

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner / SAP CMMS Specialist to support industrial maintenance operations at client facilities. This individual will play a key role in optimizing maintenance planning and scheduling processes, supporting SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM), and improving the overall effectiveness of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with hands-on experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, SAP implementation and support, work order management, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance process improvement.

This position requires someone who understands the practical application of maintenance management systems in an industrial environment and can work effectively with site management, maintenance personnel, operations, purchasing, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide SAP PM and CMMS support to industrial maintenance operations and client facilities.
• Develop, implement, and improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Support the creation, management, and optimization of SAP work orders, notifications, task lists, and maintenance plans.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs, equipment records, and spare parts/material lists.
• Coordinate with maintenance planners, schedulers, supervisors, and craft personnel to develop executable maintenance schedules.
• Assist with weekly and daily work schedules, look-ahead reports, backlog management, and work prioritization.
• Support SAP implementation, system enhancements, troubleshooting, and end-user training.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work processes associated with CMMS utilization.
• Work with purchasing and procurement teams to identify materials, research vendors, obtain pricing, and support purchasing activities.
• Develop management reports, maintenance KPIs, and performance metrics to evaluate maintenance effectiveness.
• Assist with reliability initiatives, equipment maintenance strategies, and efforts to reduce reactive maintenance.
• Work with site leadership and client representatives to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance execution.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, scheduling, or maintenance management.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) or comparable CMMS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance work order planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance crafts, and plant maintenance operations.
• Experience with material procurement, purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory management.
• Ability to develop maintenance reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with maintenance personnel, operations, management, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Microsoft Project.
