Job summary

WellStar Health System seeks an experienced Senior Maintenance Mechanic to sustain and repair building mechanical and electrical systems within our healthcare facilities. The role includes preventative maintenance, operations oversight, and mentorship of junior staff in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities cover pumps, lighting, doors, plumbing, life-safety systems, and emergency support. Weekend/on-call coverage is required, with a focus on safety and reliability across all critical

Qualifications

• Maintenance skills including mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for repairs and upgrades.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare facility maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and project work orders on a daily basis.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building machinery and systems.
• Repair and service pumps, valves, lighting, door operators, and related equipment.
• Assist in life safety systems maintenance and safety compliance as required.
• Serve as a resource and educator to junior maintenance staff.
• Work weekends and on-call shifts on a rotating basis.
