Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking two Maintenance Mechanics for a continuous chemical manufacturing site in Geneva, IL. One on 2nd shift and one on 3rd shift, with overtime during planned shutdowns.

The role involves high-availability maintenance of pumps, mixers, reactors, motors, piping, and motors across multiple process areas in a heat/hazmat environment. Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with shift differentials of +$1 on 2nd shift and +$2 on 3rd shift, plus

Qualifications

AAS or maintenance certifications required, or 10+ years in manufacturing maintenance.
Strong mechanical skills with pumps, mixers, motors, and piping.
Experience with 480V and VFD troubleshooting preferred; PLC knowledge is a plus.
PSM experience is a plus.
OSHA, LOTO, and hazardous material handling knowledge required.
Must bring own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair pumps, mixers, reactors, motors, piping, valves, and transfer equipment on a continuous process.
Rebuild pumps, service mixers, swap motors, and handle wiring.
Troubleshoot 480V circuits and VFDs; PLC knowledge helps on some shifts.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance and record it in the CMMS.
Get equipment back up fast when something fails mid-run.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and QC on priorities.
Support quarterly shutdowns and annual plant turnaround.
Follow PSM, OSHA, LOTO, and site safety procedures.
