Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system problems through hands-on analysis.
• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on equipment, including rigging, alignment and remount.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation and diagnose future repairs needed.
• Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems; analyze root causes.
• Ensure accurate BOM stock requirements and non-standard components.
• Test machinery after repairs to verify proper performance and maintain records.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs as needed.
• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to junior mechanics and production staff.
• Develop SOPs for running equipment and repetitive tasks.

Job Summary (Purpose): A Senior Maintenance Mechanic is a highly skilled professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining equipment or machinery. They perform advanced mechanical work, troubleshoot complex issues, ensure safety and operational efficiency, and may supervise junior mechanics or technicians. They must have strong communication skills.Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system problems through hands-on analysis.Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on equipment, including rigging, alignment and remount.Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance, to ensure safe and reliable operation and diagnose future repairs needed.Repair or replace defective components, parts, and systems, analyzing defective cause.Ensure accurate B.O.M. stock requirement and non-standard components.Test machinery after repairs to verify proper performance.Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations as well as company procedures.Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and production employees.
