Job summary

Evonik Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance organization across multiple shifts, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant 24/7 operations. You will oversee planning, execution, and continuous improvement of preventive, corrective, and project maintenance.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in maintenance within a GMP environment, and a proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and contractors while collaborating with multiple departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years maintenance exp preferred; 15 years may substitute.
• 10 years supervisory experience preferred—24/7 manufacturing setting.
• 10 years in a cGMP-regulated environment preferred.
• Proven leadership in coaching, performance mgmt, succession planning.
• Broad knowledge of plant design, operations, maintenance and project mgmt.
• Strong problem analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience with SAP and maintenance systems; manage contractors and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance organization through workforce and workload planning, performance management, and coaching.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies aligned with priorities and 24/7 operations.
• Drive equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to reduce cost.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet cGMP, engineering standards, and safety practices.
• Manage maintenance budgets, headcount, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Oversee contractors and external resources to meet safety, quality, cost, and service goals.
• Monitor KPIs and partner with stakeholders to resolve equipment and documentation issues.
