Job summary

Evonik, a global specialty chemicals company, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities across 24/7 operations at our Lafayette, IN site. You’ll lead a team of supervisors, drive reliability, and ensure safe, compliant plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive maintenance leadership experience, including cGMP exposure. Strong collaboration with engineering, quality, and safety teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering discipline and 7+ years of maintenance experience.
• 10+ years supervisory experience; ideally leading a large 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• 10 years of experience in a cGMP-regulated environment preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance organization through workforce and workload planning, performance management, coaching and succession planning.
• Develop and execute short-, mid-, and long-term maintenance strategies aligned with site priorities.
• Drive equipment reliability, mechanical integrity, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet cGMP, safety, documentation and inspection-readiness expectations.
• Manage budgets, headcount, contracts, material purchases and vendor relationships.
• Monitor KPIs and partner with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues and meet customer needs.
