- Set the multi-year maintenance and reliability strategy for the site, tied to plant capacity, cost, and service goals
- Own the maintenance budget, spare parts strategy, and capital planning, and build the business case for major equipment investment
- Lead maintenance input on line upgrades, new installations, and capacity expansion projects from scoping through commissioning
- Build and run a preventive and predictive maintenance program that cuts unplanned downtime and lifts OEE on high-speed freezing, extrusion, and packaging lines
- Run root cause investigations on equipment failures and see corrective actions through to closure
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to keep lines running safely and consistently
- Manage CMMS data, work order discipline, and maintenance KPIs, and use the numbers to drive improvement
- Keep the site compliant with OSHA, FDA, FSMA, and GFSI requirements, including LOTO, machine guarding, and ammonia refrigeration safety
- Develop the maintenance team through coaching, training, and succession planning, including building a strong second line of leaders
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 leading a maintenance team or department at a large, multi-line site
- Food, beverage, or dairy processing background strongly preferred
- A track record of setting maintenance and reliability strategy
- Experience owning a significant maintenance budget and capital plan, and taking projects from business case through delivery
- Strong working knowledge of automated packaging and process equipment, ammonia refrigeration, electrical systems, and controls
- Proven results improving uptime, reducing maintenance cost, and building reliability programs that last
- Experience with CMMS platforms, preventive maintenance programs, and lean or continuous improvement methods
- Credibility on the floor and in the boardroom: you can lead, influence, and hold the line with technicians and senior leadership alike
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred
