Onni Group in Chicago is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee the physical integrity and operational efficiency of our Fulton Market property. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform inspections, and lead preventative and emergency repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.

You will use Yardi and Building Automation Systems to support daily operations, supervise a maintenance team, and ensure a safe, guest-focused environment in a high-rise

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chief or Assistant Engineer in high-rise buildings.
• Experience with building systems, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
• Proficiency in operating and coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest questions, complaints or requests in a courteous, timely manner.
• Assist with daily property inspections and maintenance activities.
• Provide on-call pager service and perform emergency maintenance when required.
• Prioritize repairs impacting guest experience and safety.
• Perform general repairs including painting, carpentry, and sheetrock as needed.
• Oversee preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.

This role plays a key part in delivering a safe, well-maintained, and guest-focused environment by responding to maintenance requests, performing routine inspections, and completing both preventative and emergency repairs. The Senior Maintenance Manager will work across multiple building systems—including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety—and use tools such as Yardi and BAS to support daily operations.
