Job summary

Roche in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to lead a multi-shift team of maintenance technicians and a maintenance planner. You will ensure reliability of conveyors, racking, voice headsets and related systems while managing budgets and contractor relationships.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years of leadership in related industries, with strong knowledge of distribution systems, quality, safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in related industries.
• Knowledge of distribution approaches and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-shift team of maintenance technicians, fostering safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Oversee the maintenance planner to schedule work tickets and preventative maintenance.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise to troubleshoot complex equipment challenges and develop team capabilities.
• Manage the facility’s maintenance and repair budgets for cost-effective operations.
• Ensure appropriate spare parts stock to balance uptime with financial goals.
• Coordinate with external maintenance contractors and ensure service agreements are met.
• Coordinate with site facilities teams on large projects across departments or equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with distribution efficiency and quality requirements.
• Develop maintenance support strategies for new distribution technologies and evaluate new technologies.
