Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor for a confidential beverage producer in the Indianapolis area. You will lead maintenance technicians, prioritize safety, and balance urgent repairs with planned work to keep production running smoothly.

You will drive proactive maintenance, coach technicians, and partner with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to ensure reliable operations and food safety. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of maintenance experience.
• At least two years of education beyond high school through college or technical school.
• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, industrial control networks, electrical systems, hydraulics, and production equipment.
• Ability to organize maintenance workloads, guide technicians, and communicate priorities across departments.
• Ability to coordinate contractors, project schedules, and related expenses.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, coaching, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support weekend and holiday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and set safety, quality, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate breakdown response while ensuring preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Plan upcoming work around technician availability, equipment priorities, and production schedules.
• Use root cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Coach and develop technicians through performance feedback and safety training.
• Track maintenance performance and work order completion to identify improvements.
• Support spare parts availability and effective storeroom practices.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to support food safety and reliable operations.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors while ensuring safety compliance.
• Manage small maintenance and capital projects, including scheduling, resources, and cost tracking.
• Maintain maintenance records and support quality standards.
