Job summary

Nspproteins is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for 2nd shift in Owasso, OK. The role oversees maintenance staff, schedules tasks, and implements preventive maintenance to keep equipment reliable and production on schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years supervisory experience in meat processing/manufacturing, strong leadership, and proficiency with mechanical, electrical, HVAC and PLC systems. Expect safe, compliant operations and opportunities for overtime earnings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Schedule and assign maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in processing equipment.
• Lead repair efforts, ensuring that repairs are completed safely and in compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety training for maintenance staff and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting expenses and controlling costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through efficient maintenance practices.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance.
• Prepare reports on maintenance metrics and present them to management.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff in best practices, new technologies, and safety protocols.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the maintenance team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
