Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC in Lexington, NC seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician 8 (Expert) to perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment. This role ensures safe, on-time maintenance and supports TPM and CMMS processes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electro-mechanical roles, an associate degree or trade cert, and strong knowledge of PLC, VFD, pneumatics/hydraulics, and reading electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of electro-mechanical technician experience in an industrial environment.
• Associate's Degree or completion of formal trade program (e.g., Journeyman Electrician) or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and electrical, VFD, PLC systems.
• Proficient with measuring devices and hand tools including ohmmeters, voltmeters, megohmmeter, infrared camera, and lifting equipment.
• Experience in automation and artificial intelligence.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and install or repair electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Read, interpret and follow safety policies; TPM and CMMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced and expert level diagnoses, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide safe and timely mechanical and electrical support for manufacturing equipment.
• Read blueprints and use factory drawings and CMMS to create and close work orders.
• Diagnose malfunctions and replace components, test systems and ensure safety standards are met.
• Cross-train with other maintenance technicians and maintain a clean, safe work area.
