Job summary

Delano Miami Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer III to support its re-opening. Under the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and pool systems, ensuring safety and reliability while supporting guest comfort.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair kitchen and public-area equipment, with duties spanning from daily upkeep to emergencies during the hotel’s launch phase.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering in hotel, resort, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and general repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance procedures and maintaining logs.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment.
• Inspect and test machinery, diagnosing issues by listening and observing operations.
• Maintain water features, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for safety and cleanliness.
• Repair defective parts and restore full functionality promptly.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities in logs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate with supervisors.
