Job summary

Horseshoe Casino is seeking a Level II Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems across the property. The role involves working independently under supervision and helping train Level I engineers, with duties spanning public areas and guest rooms.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in multiple systems, valid HVAC/electrical certifications, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in at least two areas: heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing or telephone systems.
Licenses or certifications in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics.
Welding of other electrical, structural, or building discipline is highly desired and preferred.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must work well in a team and with co-workers.
Must be able to maneuver for prolonged periods, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
Must have coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools.
Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance and repair on all building mechanical systems, equipment and tools.
Operates and repairs energy management equipment.
Operates life safety systems, maintenance and repair in public areas and guest rooms.
Level II Maintenance Engineer will perform many activities independently under supervision.
Assist in training Level I Maintenance Engineers.
