Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Maintenance Engineer to develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance for Solid Rocket Motor manufacturing equipment, in an aerospace production setting. The role blends hands-on maintenance with planning, scheduling, vendor coordination, and asset management to maximize uptime and safety.

Collaborating with Production, Planning/Scheduling, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain, you’ll align maintenance with build schedules and priorities, while maintaining documentation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related) required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or reliability engineering preferred; aerospace or defense manufacturing experience a plus.
• Experience with Solid Rocket Motor, energetics, or other hazardous materials environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all critical manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and keep detailed records for audits and inspections.
• Perform routine PM tasks on equipment (mechanical, electrical, and system checks).
• Coordinate advanced PM activities with OEMs/third-party service providers.
• Create and maintain equipment-specific maintenance SOPs and work instructions.
