Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Salt Lake City is seeking a seasoned Mainframe z/OS System Programmer for hands-on BAU operations in a large enterprise. The role requires 10+ years of z/OS experience, including z15/z16 hardware, ISV tools, and DR planning. It is a pure technical hands-on role, not a team lead, with on-call responsibilities.

The position involves working with client SMEs, handling MI/P1 incidents, and supporting hardware and software upgrades to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on Mainframe z/OS experience.
• Experience in large Mainframe environments (≥5,000 MIPS).
• BAU service delivery for Mainframe OS.
• Experience with CA-ACF2 upgrade and Sailpoint-ACF2 integration.
• Pure technical hands-on role; not a team lead.
• On-call 24x7 support as part of BAU.
• Experience with DR drills and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAU Service Delivery for Mainframe OS.
• Hands-on ISV tools installation/upgrade/migration.
• Handle Major Incidents (MI) and Priority-1 tickets.
• Collaborate with client SMEs and peers on issues.
• Support Mainframe projects (HW/OS upgrades, ISV upgrades).
• Ensure 99.99% availability and meet SLAs.
• Contribute to problem RCA and change processes.
