DTCC is seeking an experienced Senior Associate, Mainframe Infrastructure Testing Engineer to provide specialized systems knowledge and testing coverage across IBM mainframe services. This role combines systems-level mainframe expertise with environment management engineering.

The ideal candidate brings strong z/OS and mainframe ecosystem knowledge and understands that this is a testing position. Onboarding will include knowledge transfer to develop DTCC-specific practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in mainframe systems engineering or related testing fields.
• Experience with IBM z/OS and related technologies (JCL, CICS, Db2, MQ).
• Experience assessing infrastructure changes and translating risk to test strategy.
• Experience with capacity, stress, performance, or DR testing.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, security, and architecture teams.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, defect-manage, and sign-off on mainframe testing engagements.
• Assess dependencies and determine affected systems, scope, sequencing, and risk.
• Define risk-based coverage for z/OS, middleware, batch processing, scheduling, and networks.
• Validate upgrades and platform changes (z/OS, middleware, security, automation).
• Support capacity and performance testing; evaluate workload behavior and bottlenecks.
• Validate non-production environments and access controls, batch schedules.
• Design/maintain test coverage for z/OS, Db2, CICS, MQ, storage, network services.
• Analyze failures and coordinate with engineering and apps teams.
• Automate repeatable validation and integrate evidence with tools/CI pipelines.
• Transfer knowledge, mentor engineers, reduce key-person dependency.
