Job summary

Pellera Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise mainframe infrastructure. The role provides technical leadership in planning, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and technology partners to deliver resilient mainframe solutions supporting critical business operations and ongoing platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise mainframe environments.
• Strong knowledge of IBM zSystems, z/OS, storage, networking.
• Experience with performance tuning, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IBM mainframe and related infrastructure technologies.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security to ensure operational excellence.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and resolution of complex system issues.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and support teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate requirements and recommend technology solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Participate in project planning, solution architecture, and customer engagements as needed.
