Job summary

Concentrix in Omaha, NE is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer with 7–15 years of hands-on COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM experience to design, develop, and support enterprise mainframe applications. The role covers online and batch processing and requires strong problem-solving skills in an Agile environment, onsite five days a week.

You will mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and use JIRA for task tracking.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years of experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM.
• Experience in online and batch JCL and strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Java programming and strong database skills.
• Experience with JIRA for work management and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Work on online and batch processing systems.
• Analyze requirements and translate into solutions.
• Perform unit testing and production support.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and use JIRA for task tracking.
