Avanciers Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join a Fortune 500–level client project in Wilmington, DE. The role focuses on modernization initiatives, legacy analysis, and production stability.

The candidate will work on stored procedure migrations, batch programs, DB2 optimization, and secure file transfers, while collaborating with operations and development teams to ensure smooth production runs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Mainframe development experience.
• Strong expertise in DB2, batch processing, and stored procedures.
• Experience with production support and complex job scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mainframe code analysis and maintain technical documentation
• Support modernization and migration activities (stored procedure–based)
• Develop and support Mainframe batch programs and Stored Procedures
• Work with DB2 for query analysis, optimization, and schema decoupling
• Manage job scheduling using Control-M and version control via Changeman
• Provide production support, including issue analysis and debugging
• Handle secure file transfers using MFTS / NDM
