American business solutions inc is seeking an experienced Enterprise COBOL developer to design, develop, and support COBOL-based applications on the z/OS platform. The role requires deep expertise in CO BOL, NaturalOne, JCL, and batch operations, with a strong background in financial/accounting systems within regulated environments.

Applicants should bring 5+ years of enterprise COBOL experience, production support skills, and familiarity with Adabas/VSAM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Enterprise COBOL development experience in a z/OS environment.
• 5+ Years of Experience with NaturalOne.
• 5+ years of JCL development and production support experience.
• 3+ years of experience with financial/accounting systems development or support including double-entry posting, balance/accrual maintenance, value dating, reconciliation, and month-end closeouts in a regulated environment.
• 3+ years of experience working with Adabas and VSAM.
• 3+ years of experience with tracing undocumented logic through copybooks, call chains, and job streams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL-based applications on the z/OS platform.
• Provide production support for batch and online processes.
• Assist with financial/accounting systems development and reconciliations.
• Trace and debug copybook logic, call chains, and job streams to fix defects.
