Senior Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer

Position Summary

The Senior Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer for Optimize team will be responsible for the ongoing support for all mainframe CICS including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance.

Key Areas of Focus for this Role

1. Implement CICS TS installations & upgrades and provide support for related OEM software products.
2. Regularly lead self and others and/or established as product SME and/or established as a specialist.
3. Provide technical support for multiple configurations of CICS TS software solutions.
4. Possess communication skills to participate in Client meetings.
5. Work directly with Software vendors on new solutions and product defects.
6. Enhance the performance of others through mentoring and guiding.
7. Provide and document problem analysis, resolution & prevention, designing procedures and best practice techniques.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum of 10 years hands-on/industry CICS TS experience on z/OS
2. Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience
3. Ability to perform complex ISV installations & upgrades
4. Ability to perform and lead complex projects
5. Customer Service skills at management/client level
6. Extreme attention to detail
7. Strong teamwork skills
8. Understand a large-scale 24×7 production environment

Other Qualifications

1. Good problem-solving and analytical skills with knowledge of problem analysis
2. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
3. Ability to mentor and show leadership qualities
4. Experience establishing and documenting processes and procedures
5. Willingness to take ownership of issues and progress to resolution
6. Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
7. Experience installing, configuring, & upgrading MQ and/or WAS on z/OS

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
