Job summary

Lazer, a remote-first digital product studio, is seeking a Senior Magento Engineer to join the Commerce Team. You will migrate, implement, upgrade, and optimize Magento Commerce platforms for large enterprise brands, ensuring seamless integrations and high performance.

The role emphasizes ownership, client collaboration, and scalable ecommerce solutions. This contract (hourly) role requires aligning working hours to ET or PT; you will work with a senior team across multiple projects and tackle

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Magento Commerce (Adobe Commerce).
• Experts in PHP, Magento 2, MySQL, and GraphQL with strong backend development skills.
• Experience with Magento upgrades, performance tuning, and debugging complex ecommerce apps.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud hosting and scaling Magento apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale Magento Commerce implementations, migrations and upgrades for enterprise brands.
• Upgrade Magento versions while ensuring compatibility and reliability; improve performance.
• Debug and resolve issues across integrations and extensions; ensure PCI compliance.
• Develop custom Magento modules and integrations (ERP like NetSuite) and APIs.
