Job summary

Huntress Labs, a remote-first cybersecurity company, seeks a senior macOS security researcher to drive product research for macOS prevention, detection, and hardening. You will prototype telemetry, reproduce attacks, and reverse engineer macOS frameworks to guide product direction.

You will lead hands-on research, document findings, and collaborate with Detection Engineering to tune detectors, while coordinating with Product and Engineering teams to operationalize solutions.

Qualifications

• Expertise in macOS security and internals.
• Hands-on with Apple security APIs and macOS tooling.
• Experience with threat research and malware analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead macOS security product research initiatives.
• Prototype telemetry from macOS subsystems to improve prevention and detection.
• Reproduce macOS attacks and analyze malware behavior.
• Reverse engineer macOS security frameworks to identify coverage gaps.
• Develop proof-of-concept capabilities and communicate findings.
