Job summary

Hearst in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior macOS Systems Engineer to lead endpoint engineering for macOS across our enterprise environment. You will own provisioning, OS deployment, patching, and security hardening while driving automation and scalable workflows.

You will collaborate with Security, Identity, Networking, and Operations teams to ensure compliance and reliability across the macOS estate, mentoring junior engineers and guiding modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise macOS environments.
• Hands-on with Jamf Pro and Iru (Kandji) platforms.
• Experience supporting 1000+ users.
• Experience with modern endpoint management and cloud identity platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior macOS SME for endpoint engineering operations.
• Engineer and optimize enterprise macOS management platforms (Jamf Pro, Iru/Kandji).
• Design scalable endpoint provisioning and lifecycle workflows in cloud identities.
• Manage macOS OS deployment, configuration, software delivery, and patching.
• Enforce enterprise device configurations and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows and tooling.
• Create packaging and deployment automation for enterprise software.
• Write Bash and Python scripts for provisioning, compliance, reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
