Job summary

Rust Belt Recruiting is seeking a Machinist/Tool Maker/EDM Programmer for a Brookpark, OH facility. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining tooling and fixtures while learning from seasoned staff to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualified candidates will have a Journeyman Tool Maker card or apprenticeship, 8+ years of experience, and strong ProtoTRAK/CNC proficiency. Expect growth opportunities in a precision shop environment with steady 46-hour weeks.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of Tool Maker/Die/Wire EDM or precision machining experience.
Proficiency with ProtoTRAK conversational programming and manual/CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, modify, and maintain tooling, fixtures, jigs, and workholding for prototype and production.
Program, set up, and operate ProtoTRAK milling machines, lathes, and Wire EDM equipment.
Work with senior toolmakers to gain specialized knowledge.
Investigate and resolve nonconforming parts via machining, rework, and fixture improvements.
Manufacture parts from drawings, CAD, or verbal instructions.
Select tooling and cutting parameters per application.
Inspect components with precision measuring tools.
Apply GD&T and shop math to ensure conformance.
Suggest process improvements to reduce setup times and waste.
