Alumni Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled machinist to join our production team and shape metal to exact specifications. You will operate CNC machinery, including lathes, drills, mills, routers, grinders, brakes and shears, reading engineering and CAD drawings to set up and run parts with precision.
Responsibilities include setting up machines, making adjustments, performing routine maintenance, and checking work with gauges, jigs, fixtures, calipers, micrometers and ID/OD measurements to
Forms and shapes basic material. May operate CNC based machinery, lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating, and profile machines, brakes and shears. May operate light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws. Works from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. Sets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Interfaces with employees and managers within the department. Works under general supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments. Must comply with all safety requirements such as but limited to PPE, chemical handling and safety related trainings.
Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawings. Clear knowledge and understanding of the application of geometric tolerance symbols. Comfortable working with measurement equipment i.e. calipers, ID/OD, micrometers.
9/80 schedule. Monday through Friday from 6am to 3:30pm.
