Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Machinist to perform a wide range of precision machining operations on motors, generators, turbines, and related components. The role requires careful attention to tolerances, blueprint interpretation, and a strong mechanical aptitude.

You will operate CNC and manual lathes and mills, set up tooling, and help maintain a safe, organized shop. The position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for overtime and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Ability to operate both CNC and manual lathes and mills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in setup, operation, and maintenance of manual machine tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Perform complex machining work with close tolerances and varied setups.
• Dismantle, inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical components of rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Manufacture or modify parts based on engineering drawings, samples, or measurements.
• Train and/or direct less experienced machinists or helpers as assigned.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
