Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Camarillo, CA seeks a Machinist Senior to operate conventional and NC machines on semi-complex jobs. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, adjust machining parameters, and inspect parts to tight tolerances while supporting lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

The role includes 2nd shift hours (1:45pm–11:15pm) with a $2 shift differential, full benefits, and on-the-job training. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Three years related machining experience.
• Able to read and follow blueprints and specifications.
• Knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Able to apply lean initiatives.
• Demonstrates teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiar with job-specific software and self-service systems.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs multiple production machines; performs cutting, drilling, reworking parts as planned.
• Aligns and fastens work using fixtures; installs tools and adjusts for material.
• Controls feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to produce quality parts.
• Inspects parts with gauges, calipers, micrometers and comparators.
• Maintains equipment and supports SPC as required.
• Supports lean initiatives and maintains clean work area.
