Job summary

Campbell Chain in York, PA, part of Hillman, seeks a Machinist Maintenance Technician III to join our maintenance team and keep critical equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will be the facility's senior machining expert, operating manual and CNC tools, reading blueprints, and leading complex fabrication projects while mentoring others. This role focuses on reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years as machinist, toolmaker, or industrial maintenance tech.
• Experience operating manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair, and modify machine components, tooling, fixtures, and equipment parts.
• Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and CNC machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Fabricate replacement parts when OEM components unavailable.
• Restore worn equipment and rebuild assemblies to support uptime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and assist with complex repairs.
• Mentor less experienced technicians and share technical expertise.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
