Job summary

The role requires a hands-on, detail-focused craftsman who can work independently or with a team. The team emphasizes lean manufacturing principles and fast-paced problem solving in a critical aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating manual mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods and sequences to fabricate products from blueprints; machine to specifications using lathes/milling machines.
• Support metalworking projects from planning to assembly, inspection, and testing using knowledge of machine functions and materials.
• Machine precision fixtures and products from drawings under established procedures with limited supervision.
• Set up machines to precise tolerances and operate various types of machinery per procedures.
• Measure and inspect parts to detect defects using micrometers, surface plates, and other inspection tools.
• Set up and operate metalworking and cutting equipment (mills, lathes, saws).
• Clean and maintain machines, tools, and equipment.
• Strive to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and work cooperatively.
