Job summary

Cummins Inc. in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Machinist - Level III for 3rd shift to expertly set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, CNC equipment, and precision measuring tools to meet exact specifications and support production needs.

You will champion safety, contribute to maintenance and TPM initiatives, coach less‑experienced teammates, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to improve process capability, reduce downtime, and deliver high‑quality parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Export controls/licensing may be required.
• Significant work experience or specialized skills.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs (Okuma and Fanuc).
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Fanuc robots and cobots.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe workplace and use PPE.
• Correct hazards and engage in HSE training.
• Maintain quality through inspections and process documentation.
• Perform preventive, corrective, emergency, and predictive maintenance.
