Job summary

The role requires intermediate to advanced machining skills on multiple machine types, along with debugging programs, optimizing tooling, and training junior machinists as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Review print & work order.
• Attach fixture to machine and secure part.
• Position tools per setup instructions.
• Input program or program machine if necessary.
• Operate machine to produce part.
• Measure work piece and adjust offset as required.
• Stamp or engrave information on part.
• Notify supervisor of nonconforming product.
• Deburr part as necessary.
• Complete work order documentation & first piece inspection.
• Check calibration on QC instruments.
• Proof program & edit as necessary.
• Optimize tooling & programs to increase production.
• Coach, train, and develop machinists.
• Operate larger mills and forklift as needed.
