Job summary

Gulfco Manufacturing in Pueblo, CO is seeking expert-level Machinists for both manual/conventional and CNC roles. You will determine run sequences to meet production schedules with autonomy and ownership of your work orders.

The position offers a 4‑day work week (Mon–Thu) with 1st and 2nd shift openings. Starting wage up to $36/hour, with the full range higher based on skills and performance, plus relocation assistance up to $5,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Expert in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting to hit production rate and quality standards.
• Experience reading blueprints, GD&T, and job orders to determine tolerances and requirements.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and similar precision tools.
• Experience with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques for machinist jobs.
• Comprehensive fixturing and equipment setup knowledge and execution.
• Tool grinding/sharpening experience including OD/ID grinding.
• Ability to train or mentor less-experienced machinists.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manual/conventional and CNC machines to hit production targets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, GD&T to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges to verify parts meet specs.
• Select tooling and cutting techniques suitable for each job and set up fixtures.
• Grind and sharpen tooling, including OD/ID grinding.
• Determine best run sequence to meet production schedule.
• Guide and train less experienced Machinists and trainees.
• Follow all safety procedures at all times.
