Job summary

Manes Machine & Engineering, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, seeks a senior Machinist – Level III to independently set up, operate, inspect, and optimize 5-axis CNC processes. You’ll lead technical training for apprentices and junior machinists while upholding strict quality and safety standards in a climate-controlled aerospace shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience in aerospace manufacturing
• 2+ years 5-axis CNC setup and operation
• Proven ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T comprehension
• Proficient with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Ability to train and mentor Apprentice, Level I, and Level II machinists

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce aerospace components meeting all quality and engineering requirements
• Interpret blueprints, travelers, specifications, and work instructions
• Perform in-process and final inspections per quality system requirements
• Train and mentor junior machinists; document training progress
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Perform daily machine maintenance and report equipment issues
• Use presses, drills, tooling, and assembly equipment as required
• Promote and model company core values at all times
