Job summary

First Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a machining focus in southeastern South Dakota. You will oversee machining processes, develop efficient workflows, and collaborate with machinists and engineers to drive quality and cost improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on production support and strategic process development, requiring strong G-code skills and experience with multi-axis equipment. A safety- and quality-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in CNC programming and process engineering, preferably in aerospace/high-precision industries.
• Strong G-code skills and ability to program 5-axis mills, Swiss machines, and machining centers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize existing CNC processes for quality and efficiency.
• Design efficient process flows and detailed work instructions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop strategies to reduce cost and improve sustainability in manufacturing.
• Ensure safety and quality standards compliance and documentation.
