Job summary

GCS is seeking a Senior Machine Vision Engineer to lead the design and optimization of automated inspection systems across our manufacturing equipment.

You will drive 2D and 3D inspection technologies, replace microscope-based stations with scalable solutions, and ensure high uptime. Requires 5+ years in industrial automation, strong programming in Python/C++/C#, and experience with Keyence, Cognex, and PLC integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on industrial automation with machine vision expertise.
• Experience with 2D/3D vision systems and vision-based inspection.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine vision inspection stations with camera, lighting, and sensor selection.
• Create and optimize 2D/3D inspection and measurement solutions (Keyence).
• Develop custom algorithms in Python, C++, or C# when needed.
• Integrate vision systems with PLCs, HMIs, and controls via industrial networks.
• Calibrate, validate, and maintain high-performance vision systems for uptime.
• Connect inspection data to SCADA, MES, SQL, and Power BI for analytics.
• Troubleshoot vision equipment issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Produce test procedures, wiring diagrams, and technical docs.
