Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, part of Madison Industries, is hiring a fabrication operator to run fin presses, expander presses, and hairpin tubing presses, plus perform leak tests and minor repairs. You will follow blueprints, plan sequences, and monitor process parameters to meet production specifications, while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree preferred, and 5+ years in similar industrial settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience with similar industrial machinery.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints or templates.
• Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of metal properties.
• Work well with others with limited supervision.
• Set up and operate several types of machines.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Fabrication Manufacturing Operations, operates any of the following equipment: fin press, expander press, and hairpin tubing press or to perform leak test, rework, or a variety of assembly operations. Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts which requires the use of protective gear to ensure safety.
