Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, a Madison Industries company, is hiring an Assembler I to produce and assemble air units and parts according to specifications. Under supervision, you will assemble mechanical units and electrical systems to create subassemblies or complete units, using hand tools, power tools, jigs and fixtures.

You will read blueprints, follow routes, maintain safe work practices, and support Lean initiatives while meeting tolerances and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.
• Good math skills are preferred to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Ability to operate and use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows blueprints, routers, specifications to build and assemble parts and equipment.
• Performs assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe condition and follow safety regulations.
• Develops positive working relationships within the company.
