Job summary

Stripe is seeking an accomplished machine learning engineer to build intelligent systems for open banking data. You will design, train, and deploy ML models that improve data quality and risk assessment across the Financial Connections platform, collaborating with product, data science and engineering partners.

The role emphasizes productionizing ML models at scale, mentoring peers, and staying at the forefront of ML/AI developments to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years building and shipping ML systems in production.
• Proficiency with ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost and Spark.
• Experience deploying models at scale and building data pipelines.
• Strong collaboration across product, data science and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, evaluate, deploy ML models in production for financial data.
• Build large-scale ML systems operating on data from thousands of institutions.
• Experiment with models (PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost) to boost quality and accuracy.
• Develop pipelines to train/evaluate models in offline and online environments.
• Ensure production readiness, scalability and reliability of ML systems.
• Collaborate with Stripe teams to identify ML opportunities for merchants and customers.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong ML culture.
