Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for Capital Underwriting to design, train, and deploy ML models in production, enabling financing opportunities with strong financial performance. You will work with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and risk managers to optimize ML-powered financing features and systems.

You will contribute to ML architecture at Stripe, push the state of the art, and operate within regulatory and operational constraints of a financing business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience building and shipping ML systems in production.
• Proficient with ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost and Spark.
• Hands-on experience in designing, training, and evaluating ML models.

Responsibilities

• Design state-of-the-art ML models and large-scale ML systems for underwriting and portfolio management for Stripe Capital.
• Design systems to speed up deployment of new models.
• Experiment and iterate on ML models to achieve business goals and drive efficiency.
• Develop pipelines to train and evaluate models in offline and online environments.
• Integrate ML models into production systems ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and strategy partners to propose and implement new features.
