Shaped is an API for developers to seamlessly add personalized ranking and recommendation into their products. These frictionless discovery experiences help end-users find what they want faster, and, consequently, grow conversion and engagement business metrics.

Ultimately, our goal is to make AI accessible and we see machine-learning for discovery (e.g. TikTok "For-You Page", FB “News feed” and YouTube "What to watch next") as the best place to start.

We are looking for a machine learning engineer to design, build, experiment and optimize Shaped's AI discovery engine. You will be a founding engineer that works on cutting-edge technologies and research, and applies them to impactful ranking problems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer science, data science or mathematics related field. Master's degree or PhD will be advantageous.
• 6+ years of industry experience in a machine learning or data science role
• Proficient with Python, SQL
• Have the willingness to wear many hats, be passionate about unblocking issues for customers, and have an excitement for problem-solving
• In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics and algorithms.
• Operate well within fast paced, small teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
