Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Nike USA Inc. - Beaverton, OR

Develop, code/configure, test programs/systems, and solutions to meet defined digital product specifications and objectives. Create robust advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that have a direct impact on the business. Design and build scalable software solutions, implement and integrate new technologies, and manage existing platforms.

Design and implement scalable applications leveraging prediction models and optimization programs to deliver data-driven decisions with significant business impact. Assess well-defined problems and lead the development of technical solutions aligned with architectural standards. Contribute to core analytics and machine learning platforms to enable prediction and optimization model development.

Solve machine learning problems at scale, focusing primarily on consumer data products. Collaborate within multi-functional engineering teams to deliver solutions that unlock machine learning capabilities for Nike. Analyze and profile data to uncover insights, clean and verify data integrity for analysis and modeling. Track model accuracy, performance, relevance, and reliability.

Apply various machine learning and collaborative filtering methods to datasets. Assist in building APIs and software libraries to support model adoption in production. Use industry knowledge and personal creativity to develop innovative solutions. Stay informed of industry trends and recommend relevant technologies and products in Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and Data Science.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related engineering field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, including:
• Proficiency in Python, Numpy, Databricks, AWS ECR+EKS, ML Ops & Maintenance, and AWS.
• Experience with Distributed Version Control Systems (git), Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform.
• Ability to gather requirements and deliver medium scope technical projects with moderate uncertainty.
• Experience with Agile and test-driven development methodologies.
