Job summary

HAHN Automation Group, with locations in Miamisburg, OH, seeks a Software Controls Engineer to develop, install, and troubleshoot software for automated manufacturing equipment. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, robot controllers, motion control, LabVIEW, and vision systems.

Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical teams to meet functional and safety requirements; participate in commissioning and testing, and provide robust software solutions. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
3–5+ years in electrical or software design/engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
Experience with automation software in machine-building environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, install, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion control, robot, and vision software per design standards and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Mechanical, and Electrical Design teams to understand machine function for software solutions.
Provide technical guidance during design reviews and support system integration, tests, and customer satisfaction.
Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance.
Travel domestically and internationally to support projects as needed.
