Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Staff Engineer II to join the M365/SharePoint engineering team in a hands-on role. You will implement and maintain Microsoft Admin Portals (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Compliance) to govern, catalog, and protect data across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will provide support for SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, and other M365 tools, monitor health via the Microsoft Admin Center, and drive incident resolution, governance, and knowledge

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience with focus on Microsoft Identity and governance.
• Proven experience with SharePoint and Purview governance.
• Familiarity with data classification and metadata management.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Microsoft Admin Portals (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Compliance).
• Provide support for M365 services and monitor environments via admin centers.
• Troubleshoot incidents and resolve service requests per SLA.
• Lead incident and problem management and create/update KB articles.
• Develop procedures for governance and audit reference in ServiceNow KBs.
• Manage SharePoint sites, teams, channels, and approved apps.
• Ensure remediations for security assessments and governance issues.
