Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator to oversee the security, optimization, and administration of the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID. The role emphasizes identity governance, endpoint management, licensing, and compliance while partnering with Security, Networking, and Applications teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune.
• Knowledge of MFA, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, RBAC.
• Knowledge of Defender and M365 security best practices.
• Scripting with PowerShell; automation.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer support.
• Excellent communication and documentation.

This role is responsible for the administration, security, and optimization of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, and Purview. The position manages identity and access controls, endpoint management, licensing, compliance, automation, and M365 security initiatives while supporting system upgrades, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and driving adoption of new Microsoft technologies. The role also partners closely with Security, Networking, and Application teams, manages vendor relationships, and provides guidance and support to junior IT staff.

• Governance/security Purview Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or Security Administrator Associate.


• Experience with Microsoft Graph API and Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).


• Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, or automotive F&I) with attention to compliance and audit requirements.


• Familiarity with hybrid identity environments (Entra Connect) and coexistence with on-premises Active Directory.


• Experience supporting mergers/acquisitions-related tenant consolidations or migrations.
