Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a senior M&A Tax professional to lead tax due diligence, tax structuring, and modeling for middle-market transactions. You will work with owners, investors, private equity firms and banks to assess tax exposures and support deal execution.

The role requires a CPA or licensed attorney, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and client-management skills. Travel to client sites is expected as part of engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Master’s degree in Taxation or JD with LLM in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• CPA and/or licensed attorney required.
• Experience leading M&A tax services engagement teams preferred.
• Proven market-facing skills to develop new business and sustain client relationships.
• Minimum of 4 years of supervisory and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Engagement management with clients includes routinely working directly with c-suite executives to perform financial due diligence on middle-market companies across industries.
• Collaborate with private equity firms, strategic clients and investment banks for buy-side/sell-side due diligence and other tax activities.
• Lead all aspects of deal execution including sourcing, client relationships, and coaching team members.
• Coordinate services with other practice areas as needed.
• Build relationships with existing clients through networking and business development activities.
