Job summary

Partners Legal Search is assisting a national law firm client in St. Louis seeking a midlevel to senior Corporate Associate with extensive M&A, private equity, and corporate finance experience.

The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex transactions, work directly with clients, and mentor junior team members. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience, strong due diligence skills, and a track record of handling buy-side and sell-side

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• 4+ years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience.
• Significant M&A or private equity transaction experience.
• Experience managing buy-side and sell-side deals preferred.
• Strong due diligence and deal management skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage transactions from inception through closing.
• Lead and oversee due diligence processes.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, and related documents.
• Advise sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, bankers, and advisors.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
